München 72

Funding & Partners

We would like to say a warm thank you to all those visitors and participants who have already shared their stories and memorabilia with us and all future contributors. Your multi-faceted perspectives are helping us to bring to life the 1972 Munich Olympics and their times.

“Munich 72 – Recollections. Analog Exchange Meets Digital Dialog” has been developed as part of the German Federal Cultural Foundation’s “dive in. Program for Digital Interactions”, funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM) under the NEUSTART KULTUR program.

“Munich 72 – Recollections. Analog Exchange Meets Digital Dialog” is brought to you in partnership with the JFF Media Centre Munich – Institute for Media Research and Media Education. The Media Centre Munich develops innovative education projects for Munich City Council and seeks to empower members of the public to participate in our digital society.

“Munich 72” Storytelling Cafés are being run throughout the city in partnership with the Münchner Stadtbibliothek, which has also helped us publicize our call for contributions.

We are organizing a series of guided tours and talks in partnership with the Münchner Volkshochschule, and a “Munich 72” Storytelling Café where people will be able to digitize any analog films they may have of the Games.
